LINDSEY GRAHAM SHOWS HIS TRUE COLORS

Lindsey Graham, current Senator from South Carolina, retired Air Force Colonel, media darling, and one of the most conniving and opportunistic politicians on Capital Hill. He was recently pranked by two Russian pranksters pretending to be the Turkish Minister of Defense. Not realizing he was being pranked, he unwittingly revealed his true opinion in regards to the Turkish assault on the Kurds in Syria. President Trump pulled US forces away from the Kurdish areas in Syria, in order for Turkey to invade Syria and massacre as many Kurdish people as possible. Senator Graham, and his fellow Republicans on Capital Hill, have been publicly opposed to Trump's decision. However, it was all a lie! The pranksters recorded the unscrupulous Lindsey Graham supporting Trump's decision, declaring that the Kurds are a threat to Turkey, and that Turkey should do what it must to fix the problem.

Now my dear readers, we can understand why we must not trust politicians. They publicly declare one thing, while privately supporting the exact opposite. How many times, and on how many issues, has Lindsey Graham deceived his constituents by lying to their faces? He and his cronies in DC have abandoned the Kurds, who have been some of staunchest allies of the US in Syria, to the bloodthirsty Turks that will happily massacre anyone that gets in their way.

Lindsey Graham should be publicly shamed for his ruthless dishonesty and his abandonment of the Kurdish people.

ANOTHER FAIL AT CNN

Gabrielle Sorto, writing for CNN, managed to slip a serious error past the editors. But, the editors are not to blame, they are probably too young to know better. 

The purpose of the article was to cover the Chowchilla school bus kidnappers. However, the writer claimed this crime which occurred in 1976, was the inspiration for the movie "Dirty Harry" which was released to theaters in 1971. Did the script writer for Dirty Harry have some means of seeing the future? Hmm..... there is obviously a problem there, somewhere. I'm certain CNN will be deleting this article, as soon as the adults in the room realize how badly they screwed up.

This slip should be warning, the folks working in the media are just as prone to mistakes as anyone else. The titles "journalist" or "writer" do not give someone greater wisdom, knowledge, or intelligence than anyone else. There are far too many people that idolize journalists and members of the media, people like Walter Cronkite or Dan Rather are held to very high esteem by these press idolizers.

  If Gabrielle Sorto and his colleagues at CNN can make such a blatant error, by believing that something that happened in 1976 was the inspiration for a movie that came out in 1971, imagine how badly mistaken they can be when discussing a topic that is far more complex.

MY RESPONSE TO THE LOCAL REPUBLICAN PARTY

The Spotsylvania Republican Party invited me to "Like" their page, below is my response. Both political parties have done a terrible job managing the finances of the Federal Government, and both have drowned the nation in onerous laws and regulations. I reject both parties for their incompetence, and I further reject the Democrat Party for embracing the insanity of Marxist/Socialism disguised as "Progressive" values.


"Thanks for the invite, but I stopped identifying as a Republican in about the year 2002. My political beliefs are Conservative, and I normally support decent Republican candidates such as Rep. Rob Wittman in most elections. However, at the national level, especially the Presidency and positions that involve the leadership of the House and Senate, I can discern very little difference between the policies of the two major parties. 

The Republican national leadership has constantly disappointed their supporters by failing to enact, or even make a concentrated effort at implementing the many promises they've made to the voters. The only consistency I've observed from the Party leadership, is to keep promising they'll get things done if they can just win the next election. We hear this every election. 

George W. sent our forces to Iraq, to fight in a war we did not need. The Republican party blindly supported his decisions, without stopping to think or to ask questions. Later, Obama did the same thing in Libya, Syria, and other nations, and the Republican Party leadership still went along blindly. Today the warmongers John Bolton and Mike Pompeo, within the Trump administration, are eager to get us involved in a senseless war with Iran. When will this insanity stop? 

The Republicans in Congress continue to pass the most ludicrous of budgets, and have all but ruined the financial future of our Federal Government. $22 Trillion worth of debt is an amount that will choke the nation, if interest rates rise just a few points too much. What are they doing? Does anyone in Congress, or at the state and local level, understand the basic principles of monetary economics? Do they realize the nation is sitting on a ticking time bomb called "hyperinflation"? Endless loans and cheap credit have saddled the public with enormous debt, which must be paid back at some point. The cost of living has increased exponentially over the past 30 years. Try going to college or to the hospital, only the very wealthy can get by without resorting to massive school loans or overpriced health insurance. The middle class is drowning in debt, and endless taxes. What has the Republican Party done to help? Nothing. If the Party leadership actually cared about the middle class, they would increase the Standard Tax Deduction to $100,000 per taxpayer. That's right, if you work and file a tax return, the first $100,000 of income should be free of income tax. That would be just one way to help the middle class. 

The Republican Party, declaring it's supposed support of Conservative values, was at one time the Party of reason, thought, and moral principle. If it can ever return to actually representing those values, I will rejoin the Republican Party."

DO NOT BE FOOLED INTO GIVING AWAY YOUR FREEDOM

 

 

The Fourth of July is meant to celebrate the struggle against tyranny, and unelected governments that do not have to answer to the citizens. Today we are getting very close to such a situation, with mindless bureaucrats and people without any sort of official position making decisions that effect everyone. Our nation is ripe for a Socialist dictator to seize power, by giving gullible people a false sense of hope that he will impose Marxist economic equality and ensure public security.

In many of my posts I discuss the destruction of American symbols as a concentrated and ongoing effort. In this article, we can see how the memory of Thomas Jefferson is dishonored by politically ambitious fools that can not see how their actions hurt our society. Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence, one of the greatest arguments for freedom ever produced. The arguments he made in that tremendous document are ignored and forgotten by a nation that no longer understands or appreciates what it means to be truly free.

What should we believe and why?

Finding the Truth has been the goal of every religion, philosopher, and poet since the beginning of time. It should be clear to my readers what my beliefs are, and I have no desire to impose my beliefs on anyone else. But there is one thing we must all do, and that is to never stop our search for the Truth. However, in recent times there has been a concentrated effort to stop our search for the Truth. Whether it is a critical review of the recently deceased, or a new law that forces very young children in Catholic schools to learn about the merits of the LGBT lifestyle and the insane fad of transgenderism.

When we lose our ability to express ourselves, we lose every bit of freedom or liberty we once enjoyed. The Bill of Rights enumerates our freedoms, and protects the public from an overly dictatorial government. But what good is the First Amendment and the guaranteed Right to Free Speech, if Congress can frighten social media companies into limiting people's ability to express themselves???

We have lost our freedom, we are now living in tyranny; but we just can't see it. Social media can silence anyone with whom they disagree, from conservative writers to elected officials. The media and politicians can use the power of their positions to slander and defame anyone they don't like; and the accused have no way to respond effectively. Progressives and Marxist/Socialists have wormed their way into every institution and professional board, and use their positions to impose their values on everyone else.

TRUMP EXONERATED OF RUSSIAN COLLUSION, AS I EXPECTED

Robert Mueller, the Special Counsel charged with investigating possible Trump administration collusion with Russia to sway the 2016, just sent the findings of his investigation to the Attorney General and exonerated Trump and all his staff of any such collusion. Of course, the Democrat party and their cronies in the media are besides themselves: many in the media view this report as an insult; some folks, like Rachel Maddow, broke down and cried on national television; many are demanding the Attorney General before Congress to answer for the report and give Democrat Congress members an opportunity to attack his character; and while others are even more determined to find something to use against Trump. It's long past time the nation called the media to account for it's blatant bias and one-sided opposition to Trump and his Republican peers.



This is my original blog entry, dated March 28. 2017. People have to realize that politicians never learn from their mistakes, they will gladly endorse one fishing expedition after another in the hopes of finding some sort of dirt to use on their political opponents. It is the duty of the American voter to use a bit of common sense, and perhaps a bit of wisdom, to discern the truth in these matters and to vote for elected officials that will act with honesty, integrity, and will place the good of the nation before their own interests. Demagogues whose only wish is to attain power, that put their own selfish interests before the interests of the nation, or that promise nonsensical Socialist fantasies, should be recognized for the unethical scam artists that they are, and be rejected at the ballot box. 

INTERNET FREEDOM IS BEING LOST, BUT NOBODY SEEMS TO CARE

I've focused on this issue before, and it's getting worse. My own experiences began when Facebook lost its sense of humor, and began suspending accounts for frivolous things. What will it take for people to realize how dangerous the situation has become?

The big social media sites are selectively choosing who is allowed to use their forums, with a subjective and biased set of standards. Facebook and Twitter banned Alex Jones and several other sites using the false reasoning that such sites spread misinformation, fake news, and contribute to racism and intolerance. However, they have also banned websites, such as Zero Hedge and others, that involve economic and political articles that disagree with government policies and the Progressive/Socialist agenda. Recently, the ISPs have begun talking about the need for censorship,  they are talking about some corporate staffer deciding who may connect to the Internet.

The latest push for Internet censorship began with the live feed posted by the deranged New Zealand mosque killer. Jacinda Ardern, the Prime Minister of New Zealand has demanded social media and other Internet sites be held accountable for not blocking the killer's video. Let's stop and think for a second. Are social media sites supposed to have some magical foresight that would allow them to know the content of a live stream video, before it gets posted? She also managed to quickly ban the private ownership of all semi-automatic rifles in her country. The UK and France have even more restrictive gun laws than New Zealand; however, mass murderers have simply come up with different methods of carrying out their atrocities by using vans and trucks to mow people down.

When politicians use the power of their position to bully companies into censoring random sites, or anyone that may disagree with the political class, it means Freedom is being stripped away from the public. Make no mistake, the danger is real and it is happening to us right now. This is not some idle fantasy or cheap conspiracy theory. The people of this world should enjoy the Internet while it is still somewhat accessible, because if the current trend continues, the Internet will soon be offering less choices than the local prison.

Who is brainwashing people into supporting this Green Deal nonsense? Has anyone actually read and understood what they are supporting?

The Green Deal supported by misguided Socialist fanatics, such as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Bernie Sanders, provides a framework for a radical change in American society. The plan is so extreme that even Left leaning publications such as the Economist have come out against it. 

Yet, these people are convinced that this bad idea is the only way to save the nation. We are quickly becoming a divided nation, divided in every way possible. The extreme Left of the Democrat party, that has become the home of insane Socialist-Progressives, is adding fuel to the fire by it's delusional support of failed ideas and hatred of anyone that disagrees with it's misguided agenda.

THE PETTY POLITICS OF ANDREW CUOMO

The recent celebration of the late Martin Luther King Jr. was a chance for everyone to remember the great struggle for equality and human decency, and the great humanitarian ideals of the Civil Rights Movement embodied by the late MLK.  In some ways, my family and I have also benefited from the struggles of those that sacrificed so much during the Civil Rights Era. I will always consider MLK to be a legitimate hero, because he struggled for an admirable and worthwhile goal, human decency and the equality of opportunity which is owed to all people. He ultimately sacrificed his life to those that could not accept his message of decency and respect.

Andrew Cuomo, the Governor of New York, used the recent celebration of MLK to attack his political opponents. His language reflects the false stereotypes and petty Socialist diatribes found within the Progressive extreme Left wing of the Democrat Party. His complaint was that conservatives are racists, because they oppose the Socialist ideals favored by Progressives: income redistribution; welfare programs; and tougher immigration policies.

The diversity-challenged Trump administration has pursued policies that are the opposite of what King supported -- from their explicit efforts to roll back voting rights, tax cuts that exacerbate income inequality, proposed cuts to social programs like food stamps, a possible rollback of nondiscrimination regulations for housing, crackdowns on nonwhite immigration and asylum seekers, pursuing policies that rein-in public sector unions while earning the praise of white nationalist groups. And that's just a partial list. It's a reminder that despite all the change we've seen over the past half-century, the underlying fights are not over.

 It is clearly evident, Governor Cuomo's complaints have little to do with racial or legal equality, and everything to do with economic equality. He uses the same tired old stereotypes and specious accusations of racism against the Trump administration that have been used against everyone that falls afoul of the extreme Left wing of the Democrat party. The equality sought by MLK and the other heroes of the Civil Rights era was for an equality before the law, an equality of opportunity, an equality for each person to be allowed to reach their fullest potential, an equality that is based on mutual respect and understanding. Those icons of the Civil Rights Era never spoke of a government imposed economic equality, nor did they ever demand that one group be penalized in order for another group to succeed.

 I am not a Trump supporter, but I would be immediately included in the Governor's diatribe, because of my own opposition to the Socialism that is so highly favored by the misguided liberal elite. The Governor may get plenty of press time, and his misguided and misinformed opinions may be printed by his cronies at CNN and the rest of the mainstream press, but that does not make his message any better. He has a history of attacking members of his own party, if they happen to get in his way. Andrew Cuomo is simply one more cheap and opportunistic politician that uses his position to lash out at his opponents in order to further his own political future.

CNN DEMONSTRATES THE INSULAR ARROGANCE OF PROGRESSIVES DISUISED AS JOURNALISTS

 

 

 

Once again, a CNN analyst proves how close-minded progressives and journalists have become.  The progressives within the media are incapable of self-criticism or self-awareness. They gave this woman her fame, but fail to realize it was their actions that gave her this fame. There should be no doubt as to the influence of the media in modern politics, they decide what the voters will see and hear. They can raise up a politician like this Ocasio-Cortez woman, or they can constantly attack someone they don't like. In essence, it is the media that is deciding our elections, not facts or reality.

 

This Ocasio-Cortez woman has become well known because the media "made" her famous. They put her in front of our faces on a constant basis, so of course we know her name. She has no redeeming value to our lives.

 

However, I am not a supporter of so called "conservative" media. Folks like Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, or whoever else, are saying exactly what the audience wants to hear. They do not provide any actual insight or legitimate alternatives for the audience to consider. They go along with the status quo, giving their audience the impression that there is some actual difference between the two major parties. 

 

AMERICANS UNDER SIEGE

How much police force is too much? That is a very difficult question to answer; the educated and informed opinions held by experts have great variety in their responses. I believe a correct answer may not always exist, much depends on the circumstances and the information law enforcement has available at the time. Law enforcement must be allowed to use every available option to mitigate the danger to themselves and the community when dealing with potentially violent criminals, but that force must be tempered by sound judgement and an adherence to the law.

There is no doubt law enforcement in the US is under constant threat by every maniac, thug, or fool with having a bad day and a bad attitude. There are countless stories of police getting killed on the job, even when doing the most mundane of duties, such as serving a court summons or conducting a traffic stop. Criminals are sometimes armed and ready for a gunfight, such as the North Hollywood, California bank robbery of 1997. Two bank robbers in body armor gave the local police a very bad morning. The handguns and shotguns used by the police could not penetrate the suspects' body armor, and the police eventually raided local gun shops in order to find rifles of sufficient power to get the job done. This incident caused police departments across the nation to begin issuing AR-15 rifles to patrol officers, in case they ever again encounter such a scenario.  However, law enforcement walks into potentially dangerous scenarios every day, especially when raiding the homes of suspected drug dealers or when dealing with members of organized crime. There is no question about it, law enforcement must be allowed to use the correct tools to get their job done safely.

On the other hand, when dealing with non-violent criminals law enforcement should keep the use of force to a minimum. There are many stories of law enforcement using too much force in a given scenario. Some political leaders, with plenty of political courage, have voiced strong objections to heavy handed police tactics. Members of law enforcement claim they can never be certain and therefore must remain vigilant at all times. However, there are limits to what law enforce can do. These limits are in place to protect innocent citizens from overly zealous law enforcement. One recent example is that of Trump ally Roger Stone. The FBI raided the home of Mr. Stone with 29 agents consisting of: heavily armed special tactical units; 17 vehicles with 2 armored personnel carries; 2 amphibious watercraft which unloaded some agents; and a helicopter armed with a specially trained long range sniper. In contrast, the US military sent far fewer Navy SEALS to capture Osama Bin Laden. Mr. Stone has been cooperating with Congressional investigators and Robert Mueller's special investigation for some time. According to legal expert, Judge Andrew Napolitano,  prosecutors are very well acquainted with both Roger Stone and his attorneys; and there is no reason for anyone to suspect the elderly Roger Stone, who happens to be a bit of a dandy with no criminal record, would suddenly become violent and pose a threat to anyone.

Why did the FBI send such overwhelming forces to arrest one elderly and nonviolent man that had been cooperating with prosecutors? The FBI claims it was done to ensure Stone did not have a chance to destroy any incriminating evidence. What evidence would that be? The FBI's reasoning might be acceptable bu for two caveats, the ridiculously overwhelming quantity of men and materials that were used and a CNN news crew was part of the FBI's raid. These facts suggest that there were political considerations in this matter, and someone wanted to make an example our of Roger Stone; otherwise the prosecutor's office would have contacted Stone's attorney to request Stone turn himself in, as is normally done in such matters.

There is much debate on this matter, of course. Some Republican voices have come out against the FBI and it's tactics, while Democrat voices have supported the FBI, Robert Mueller, and the endless fishing expedition looking for evidence to support the idea that President Trump has in some way violated the law.

I do not know what the correct answer is for every situation, but I am certain it is best to always question the motives of those in positions of power, whether it is the Global Elite, the bankers, the politicians, or members of the legal system. The old adage is still true "power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely". Our nation and it's Constitution were set up by the Founding Fathers in such a way to ensure no person or institution would attain absolute power. The moment we lose sight of the fact that as Americans we are all equal in the eyes of the law, is the moment some have acquired more power than others because men of bad character will always crave power over others.

THE GUN GRABBERS IN OREGON HAVE GONE CRAZY

 

 

This proposed bill in Oregon is complete nonsense. The law is so restrictive it would practically end gun use in the state. For years the Liberals have been saying that "nobody is coming after our guns", and they have been lying! Do not believe the gun grabbing Liberals! The dream of every gun grabber is the ultimate banning of all civilian firearm ownership or usage.

The law limits ammo purchases to 20 rounds a month, per person. Most boxes of small caliber ammo contain more than 20 rounds! A normal trip to the local shooting range, to sight in a scope for example, generally requires more than 20 rounds. Obviously someone wrote this, without having a clue about guns or ammunition.

This piece of legal idiocy bans all firearms with magazines capable of holding more than five rounds. Brilliant! Almost every firearm in existence has a magazine that holds more than five rounds. The list includes: most pistols, rifles, and shotguns. Even the vintage revolvers and lever action rifles of the late 1800's have magazines that hold more than five rounds. This law would basically ban almost all modern firearms. Obviously someone wrote this, without having a clue about guns or ammunition.

 

This nonsense needs to stop. The voters of Oregon should take a long and hard look at their elected representatives, anyone that supports this tyrannical law should be quickly booted out of office. We the People have the Right to Bear Arms. Do not allow misguided Liberals and vote hungry politicians to take away our Rights. 

JUST ANOTHER GOVERNMENT CLOSURE

The government has closed down, pending a budget agreement. SO WHAT? This does not have a real affect on the public. In previous decades, the government would be shutdown on a frequent basis. Nobody ever noticed until it became something for the media to salivate over. The mainstream press will find any number of media "experts" declaring the end of the world has arrived. These experts discuss doomsday scenarios, which will never occur, while keeping a straight face and serious expression. The more creative and nonsensical the fantasy, the higher the ratings. 

 Some folks will blame Trump and his single minded agenda of building walls on the Mexican border. Guess what, the US Government was shutdown under the following Presidents: Obama, Bush, Clinton, Reagan, Carter, Ford, Nixon, Johnson, and the list goes on. Trump's idea of building a wall is nothing new. I can remember when Ronald Reagan took this idea to Congress during the 1980's, and almost every president since then has had the same idea, but the wall has yet to get built.

Two things will happen, before this government shutdown is finished. Congress will pass a budget of some sort, and government employees WILL get paid for the hours they lost during the shutdown. In the end, life will continue as it always has.
