A SIGN OF THE TIMES: THE RETAIL BLOODBATH CONTINUES
The traditional American place the shop, the local mall, is quickly becoming a thing of the past. Online shopping, and discount giants such as Walmart, have made enormous progress in taking business from traditional brick-and-mortar retail outlets. This Christmas season is witnessing countless more retail chains filing for bankruptcy.
The conventional wisdom from industry insiders is to blame Internet sales and discount outlets; however, there may be a more serious problem than most realize. The US economy is in a giant inflation bubble that has affected every aspect of our lives: from shopping patterns, to the way we pay for medicine and higher education. Middle class wages have not kept pace with the rate of increase in the cost of living over the past 30 years. There is ample evidence that good paying jobs are difficult to find for most Americans. This is one major part of the reason people are beginning to shy away from expensive mall retailers in favor of discounters, the prices are simply too high for most consumers.
If we look at average rental costs in a mid-sized town such as Fredericksburg, Virginia, we can see how even successful mom and pop businesses are closing due to exorbitant rents. The owner of the former Blackstone Coffee shop in Eagle's Village confided to friends that the rent on his small location had risen to over $10,000 a month, at which point he closed that location. The business had been successful, it was very popular with consumers, and was always busy. However, we must consider how much the business would have to charge per cup of coffee just to keep up with the rising costs associated with running the business.
If one little coffee shop was facing rent of over $10,000 per month, it is difficult to imagine how much a giant sized mall anchor store such as Macy's is paying per month. Add in other rising prices, such as: insurance, utilities, labor costs, etc. and it becomes impossible for mall retailers to lower their prices in order to remain competitive with online retailers that are not burdened by the same costs.

WHY DOES THE WORLD CONTINUE TO HONOR THE MANIAC SID VICIOUS?
A PICTURE OF SHAME |
What did he do in his life? Shot up a lot of dope, sang a few songs, killed his girlfriend, and died of an overdose at age 21.
What did he contribute to society? Zero.
How much did he cost society? Plenty. He was a burden to society. The police had to constantly chase him around: the murder charge, and charges of assault and other violent acts.
With hindsight being 20/20, he should be remembered with infamy, as being nothing more than a piece of filth.

INFLATION
There is an economic phenomenon called "inflation".
This picture is the perfect representation of what happens when inflation is allowed to grow out of control over a period of several decades. The cost of living rises so high that people are unable to afford life's necessities.

MORE PROOF OF THE US GOVERNMENT'S ECONOMIC INCOMPETENCE
Doug Casey hits the nail on the head with this one.
We have received ample warning about the difficult times ahead, it should come as a surprise to no one when the US dollar goes over the cliff. The only thing we can do is to prepare for what lies ahead. Get out of the Stock Market, and get away from Wall Street. Mutual funds, annuities, IRAs, 401ks, and other paper assets will quickly become worthless, or will be seized by government order. Turn any financial assets into physical assets by purchasing gold, real estate, businesses, guns, or anything else you can physically touch. When the crises comes, the US government will be desperate for cash, bank accounts and other sorts of financial savings will be targeted for confiscation. Money will not be safe.
Trump can not doing anything, nor could Hillary or anyone else have done something if they'd won the election. This problem began decades ago, and no short term solution can stop the US dollar from getting abandoned by an international marketplace that's grown tired of Washington's incompetence.

TRUMP AND THE NFL
I rarely ever agree with Rush Limbaugh, I think he is a overly pretentious clown and a hypocrite. However, he is correct in this particular case.
The NFL is a business, the team owners are the business owners, and the players are employees. There are laws that govern workplace behavior, for example: an employer may not discriminate against employees on the basis of race, gender, religion, etc: an employer must provide reasonably safe working conditions by observing certain safety rules; and employers must pay employees a certain minimum wage. The government is justified in creating these sorts of regulations, in order to ensure employees are not taken advantage of by unscrupulous or unethical employers.
President Trump made the statement that NFL players that kneel during the National Anthem should be fired by their team owners. It is an
extremely dangerous precedent that Trump is setting by publicly
involving himself with the personnel decisions of the NFL owners. The
"government", including the president, Congress, or any other public
official, has no business telling businesses how to manage or discipline
their employees; beyond the established general regulations. This may seem like nothing more than Trump expressing his opinion on the matter; but as the President, Trump is not like other citizens. His words can have real consequences. As a matter of fact, most presidential speeches are carefully screened so a president does not cause an inadvertent public panic or some other sort of calamity. What did Trump accomplish? His words caused the NFL teams to circle their wagons and present a united front against him. The NFL is a wealthy organization, with billions of dollars available to wage a public relations war. What could have happened if the target of Trump's ire had been a small business that lacked the financial muscle to stand up against public outrage and the constant media bombardment?
Was Trump justified in attacking the NFL? Perhaps if he was a private citizen, but not as the president. The NFL players have Freedom of Speech, and they can protest, kneel, sit, or lie down as it pleases them. However, there is a time and place for everything, and the football field is not the right place for players to be protesting. The public is expressing it's outrage against the NFL by not watching the games on television or attending the games in person. Ultimately, the NFL is most concerned with the opinion of the public. If the public gets outraged enough the NFL could face a real problem.

A TERRIBLE TRAGEDY
Yesterday's mass shooting in Los Vegas was terrible tragedy, and an act of pure evil. I will not try to second guess the investigators as they examine the situation, and it will take some time for investigators to conclude their work.
However, what is certain is that there is something very wrong with the whole scenario. Of course, the crime itself is bad enough, but I am referring to the shooter a Mr. Stephen Paddock. He was an older man in his sixties, he made his career as an accountant, and was seemingly wealthy. He had good relations with his family, and had never been in any sort of trouble. There is no logical reason for such an individual to suddenly flip and go on a rampage. Well, this was not really a rampage, this was carefully planned and carried out.
At the risk of making an educated guess, I think Mr. Paddock may have come under the influence of either an extremist group of some sort or anti-depressants. An extremist group such as ISIS is very good at brainwashing people and turning them into fanatics. This could explain his sudden change in character. Anti-depressants have been involved with almost every non-terrorist mass shooting in the US over the past 25 years. People are fine while they are taking the damned things, but as soon as they stop using the medicine, they start going crazy.
Regardless of the cause of this tragedy, or circumstances which lead Mr. Paddock to act is this evil manner, we must keep the victims and their families in our thoughts and prayers. May our loving God have mercy upon us all, and keep us safe from every evil.

DO NOT BRING POLITICS AND RELIGION TO THE WORKPLACE
The recent phenomenon of professional football players protesting the National Anthem, or the flag, or whatever it is they're doing, is a perfectly legitimate expression of Free Speech. Citizens of the USA have the RIGHT to speak out, to protest, to voice their opinion, to complain to their elected representatives, and to vote the bums out of office. These RIGHTS are spelled out very clearly in the US Constitution and nobody can deny people their RIGHTS. However, there is a time and place for everything.
"It is the most basic rule of professional conduct,
do not discuss politics or religion at work"
As we grow up and get jobs, we quickly learn it is highly inappropriate to discuss politics or religion when we are working. We are getting paid to do a certain job, and as adults we are expected to be responsible. We can't waste our employer's money by goofing off, doing personal stuff, doing other work, or by bringing our personal problems and opinions into the workplace. NFL players are considered employees of the team, when they are on the field they are on the job. They have no right to push their personal beliefs onto to the audience; regardless if those beliefs are good or bad. When we watch a movie, do we want the main actor to stop in the middle of the act and lecture us? Can you imagine Harrison Ford stopping in the middle of a Star Wars movie scene and turning to the camera to say something about the benefits of going to church? It seems highly inappropriate, and a bit ludicrous. Why should the NFL be any different? The public paid good money to watch a football game, they are not interested in the players' personal opinions. It is the most basic rule of professional conduct, do not discuss politics or religion at work.
Expressing the wrong opinion on the job can have severe consequences. The football players have the RIGHT to protest and speak out, but they do NOT have the Right to force their opinion on the audience. The NFL is going to lose fans and advertisers, and the players will lose endorsement deals, because even if the players are right, politics and religion do not belong on the job.

LET'S GET REAL ABOUT HURRICANES
Let's be realistic about the situation with hurricanes, and other inclement weather.
IT IS DANGEROUS!!!
If you happen to be in the path of one of these things, the best thing to do is move to safety. If you can't leave, prepare to batten down the hatches, secure anything that can blow away, and find a safe spot inside your bath tub.
Don't be a fool by acting tough or brave.
If you have a family and children, consider their safety in everything you do. You as a parent are responsible for the safety of your children, they depend on you to do the right thing.
To all of those in harm's way, I wish you good fortune, and I hope to continue our mutual search for the Truth when this crises has passed.
Due to the terrible nature of this situation, I wish to offer a prayer for everyone's safety.
May the Lord watch over and protect each person that finds themselves in danger. May He shelter us all in His great goodness and infinite mercy. For He is a merciful God that loves humankind, and to Him belongs all Glory, Honor, and Worship. In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, now and forever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

MOVIE IN REVIEW: BIRTH OF THE DRAGON
I wasted 89 minutes of my life watching this stupid movie.
For anyone with even the slightest admiration of the great martial artist Bruce Lee, this movie will piss you off. His daughter, and former students and friends that knew him, have all gone on record and criticized this piece of Hollywood nonsense.
Bruce Lee is portrayed as an arrogant and thuggish bully, whose only goal is teaching his students how to properly brawl in street fights. Lee ridicules everyone, including his own students and other martial artists; has a vast paranoia bordering on psychosis; and seems incapable of logical thought. His paranoia leads him to the fight with Wong Jack Man, and he barely manages to get out alive. He later teams up with Wong to save a girl, and the two of them take down the entirety of the local Chinese criminal syndicate.
Nothing in this whole film has even the remotest connection to reality. Lee was a cultured, polite, well educated, and highly intelligent man. His students loved and respected him, and he in return respected them. He had good relations with all of his fellow martial artists, and he did NOT engage in random street fights.
Do yourself a favor and don't watch this movie.
Here is a link to Lee's Wikipedia page, for anyone interested in learning about the great master.

IDIOTS AND THUGS IN CHARLOTTSEVILLE
The look of idiocy and stupidity. |
I ask that my readers can forgive the tenor of this article. I try to keep things polite, but in this case some harsh language is required.
The recent "Unite the Right" march in Charlottseville was supposed to be a demonstration against the removal of the statue of Robert E. Lee. Many people in the South love their history and wish to honor their ancestors, that's all well and good. I am not a Southerner, nor do I care about Confederate statues, but I can understand their feelings on the matter.
HOWEVER, as we can see from the picture above, the voice of this protest has been commandeered by idiots and thugs giving Nazi salutes, chanting Nazi hymns, and wearing t-shirts with Adolf Hitler quotes. The infamous David Duke, a former KKK leader, made an appearance and added more fuel to the fire. I don't care what the organizers of this march had planned, the moment they allowed these Nazi loving idiots and racists to become the face of their protest, they lost any support or sympathy that people of good character may have possessed for their cause.
These idiots giving these NAZI salutes have no understanding of Hitler, Nazism, or Fascism. Hitler would have taken these idiots and used them as slave labor. The horrors Hitler unleashed on Europe are too many to list. Hitler was a monster, and anyone supporting him is an idiot. Fascism and Nazism were based on Socialist/Marxist economic ideals. The black hood wearing ANITFA thugs that espouse Communism have closely related ideals. It is ironic that these sworn enemies are cut from the same cloth.
There is NO excuse for the organizers of this protest to have allowed this garbage to participate. There is NO reason for ANY American to support Nazi saluting idiots.

PLOTTING AND SCHEMING IN THE MIDDLE EAST
Henry Kissinger is a nasty little man, that has indirectly caused the death of millions of people over the past 45 years. His name will remain in infamy for his actions in Southeast Asia, Cyprus, the Balkans, the Middle East, and as a member of the Global Elite that was enthusiastic in bringing about the Third World War.
If we have kept up with the news, we should be aware of certain things.
The terrorist group ISIS, or Daesh, was created in order to destabilize the Shiite Muslim governments in Iraq, Syria, and elsewhere. ISIS has been openly supported by the Sunni Muslim governments of the Middle East, such as Turkey, Yemen, and Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia has been one of it's strongest supporters. The Saudis have also supported AlQaeda and other terrorist groups that have been opposed to Shiite Muslims in Iran, Iraq, Syria, and elsewhere.
The US has gotten involved in what looks to be a Muslim civil war.

THE TRUE FACE OF SOCIALISM IN VENEZUELA
Socialism ruins nations, impoverishes people, and corrupts societies. Only the Elite have anything to gain in a Socialist-Marxist society
People are protesting the government's failed food distribution scheme. People are looting supermarkets, only to find them empty. The government has made a plea to the UN for emergency shipments of medicine. Everything is in short supply because of government mismanagement. From the very beginning of his administration the late dictator Hugo Chavez began planting the seeds of an economic meltdown, and his plan has been continued by his bungling and incompetent successor Nicolas Maduro.
"THERE IS NO FOOD"
Even after all this chaos, misery, pain and suffering, the Socialist disaster in Venezuela continues to have strong support from misguided celebrities, including economist Joseph Stiglitz. All they can see are the well intentioned social programs and wealth redistribution. They refuse to understand how those well intentioned, but ultimately futile Socialist ideas have wrecked the country. Those same celebrities would readily support a similar sort of "Socialism" to be implemented in the United States, and they found the perfect representative in Bernie Sanders.
At some point, people must realize that Marxism and all the ideas the it generated: Socialism, Communism, Fascism, and European style "Democrat Socialism", are ideas that have failed every time they've been tried. No matter how many times history has proven this point, misguided people will continue to live in their own fantasy. However, it appears that Venezuelans have learned bitter truth in the hardest way possible. Next time you, or someone you know, thinks a little Socialism is a good thing make sure you read this article again.

LANA DEL REY, ANOTHER WORTHLESS CELEBRITY
Lana Del Rey has decided to stop flying the American flag at her shows, because Trump is in office and that makes her feel uncomfortable.
What a bunch of bullcrap. Never disrespect the flag or the nation it represents.
A person's loyalty is to the nation, the Constitution, and the people of the nation. No one is required to swear an oath of loyalty to Trump or any other elected official. This is a Republic, not a Monarchy or a dictatorship. No president deserves an oath of loyalty.
I will continue to fly the flag and honor my country; regardless of the worthless celebrities out there.

WE STILL NEED CASH, EVEN IF THE ELITE WANT TO STEAL IT ALL
On July 14, 2017 CNN featured a very disturbing article on its website, "Visa offers restaurants $10,000...if they stop accepting cash". For anyone familiar with economic theory and history, this is a terrifying development, but not completely unexpected. What the Establishment is really worried about is bank liquidity if the economy begins to sour. I have mentioned this before in a previous article, and nothing has changed since that time. Everyone should prepare themselves for the coming economic turbulence by getting away from Wall Street, and putting their money into physical assets.
Billionaire investor James Rickards, whom I have previously quoted in my articles, wrote a correctly named article "The Elites Are Privately Warning About a Crash". Unfortunately, the geniuses at the Federal Reserve with their infinite wisdom, have created the perfect Doomsday scenario. As the author points out, the pace of currency production is not sustainable, nor was it ever. Over the past few decades the Federal Reserve has flooded the market with paper money, and cheap credit which acts the same as paper money. They have devalued the currency, so prices appear to be constantly rising; however, the truth is that they have impoverished the poor and middle class by reducing the buying power of our money.
Columnist David Stockman also writes about the frightening economic future in his article "The "Chuck Prince Market" Redux — Only More Dangerous". This author focuses on the same issue from a slightly different perspective; however, the results are the same. Massive injections of new currency, and private and public debt that has surpassed $100 Trillion, will cause the economy to ultimately crash.

THE ECONOMY IS READY TO TAKE A DIVE
Once again, Lew Rockwell has featured a great article.
The US economy is on the brink of collapse, the gangsters at the Federal Reserve have all but ruined the economy. Cheap credit, limitless government handouts, and a permissive system that has allowed massive gambling by hedge funds, have created an inflationary bubble that is ready to burst.
Getting through the political stuff at the beginning of the article, the economic analysis begins at about the halfway mark. David Stockman does a marvelous job of breaking down the most recent economic indicators in a clear and concise fashion. The Keynesian fanatics that are now considered "experts", have no clue as to what is really going on. All they understand is that pumping the economy with money and cheap credit will somehow give GDP the appearance of growth, They can then declare that good times are here to stay, and we will all get rich together because in the increase of the national average.

THE PARIS AGREEMENT: JUST ANOTHER SCAM
On June 2, 2017 President of the United States Donald Trump announced the US would withdraw from the Paris agreement on climate change. The world media, and most of the political class, have reacted with shock, outrage, and predictions of doom and gloom. The conventional wisdom is that the world needs this agreement in order to save the planet from an ecological disaster. It should be noted, very few people have chosen to read the actual text of the Paris Agreement. In this article I have chosen to use the actual text of the treaty, instead of trusting the opinions of the uninformed.
There are many that remain skeptical about the whole thing, and some of those skeptics have impressive qualifications. Many scientists and political leaders have refuted the various environmental agreements as being a scam. This raises several questions, questions that need accurate answers. What is the Paris agreement all about? What is its intended purpose? How is it connected to the Kyoto Accords? Why are the Elite so eager to impose this agreement on nations around the world? Why is the greater part of the agreement concerned with finance and global monetary transfers?
Basic Environmental Goals
There are several questions that everyone should ask when reading the above paragraph. First and foremost, the Earth had experienced a "Little Ice Age" between the years circa 1250-1850. This Ice Age would have ended just as the Industrial Revolution was getting started. Using a bit of common sense, it would seem the Paris Agreement wishes to plunge the world back into an Ice Age.
A working group of the Third Assessment Report of Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, an agency of the United Nations, has published an extensive report for policy makers. This report is rather biased in that it attempts to downplay the naturally occurring phenomenon that affected climate change in the past and continue to do so in the present. Instead, the authors attempt to make their politically motivated theories "fit the facts" by focusing on human activities. This report, and others like it, are used by politicians to make policy decisions that will affect the planet. Perhaps the information in that report should have been presented in a more unbiased fashion so that policy makers can make better informed decisions.
Nationally Determined Goals
According to the Paris Agreement, and in keeping with the Kyoto Treaty, each nation affiliated with the climate accords must determine how they will contribute to the reduction of carbon emissions(Lines 22-31). There is no set value, nor any sort of standard, each nation can use whichever criteria they choose. This has led many to question the validity of agreements in which major polluters, such as China, can avoid responsibility.
The Paris Agreement calls for a collective quantified goal from a floor of USD 100 billion per year, taking into account the needs and priorities of developing countries; (Line 54). In other words, the Paris Agreement would create a new class of "Super Welfare". This new welfare would be on a global scale, and the recipients would be any nation that is classified as developing. Many voices have been raised protesting this figure, saying it is not enough to support the needs of developing nations in their attempts to reach their Nationally Determined Goals. Some estimate that developing nations will require much more than $500 billion a year, by the year 2050. Taken to it's logical conclusion, this system of welfare would create a vast money pit in which trillions of dollars would eventually disappear. The only beneficiaries would be the leaders of underdeveloped "Third World" nations that would siphon off billions of dollars into their own private bank accounts, while their nations and peoples continue to be underdeveloped and poor. Regardless of how much money is made available, a society must have the ability and willingness to put forth the necessary effort in order to achieve whatever goals have been set for them. Unfortunately, in many countries around the world environmental issues are of little importance to people that must struggle to find food, water, and the basic necessities of life.
Financial Manipulation
The biggest area of contention is the requirement that developed nations be subject to financial penalties if they miss their goals, and they must provide financial support to developing nations; regardless if those developing nations are major polluters. Canada withdrew from the Kyoto Treaty for this exact reason, and the US refused to ratify the Kyoto Treaty for the same reason. Unfortunately, in many countries around the world environmental issues are of little importance to people that must struggle to find food, water, and the basic necessities of life.
An Inescapable Conclusion
For the record, I support any legitimate effort to ensure a clean environment; however, the Paris Agreement on Climate Change is not legitimate. It is a scam. It sets no rules, no standards, and no real goals. It's only apparent purpose is to transfer money from "rich" countries to "poor" countries. Trump was correct in rejecting the Paris Agreement, it may be the smartest thing he'll do all year.

TRUMP AND COMEY
I did not want to get into this political quagmire of President Trump and his decision to fire FBI Director Comey; there are several more important topics that can be discussed. But, everyone is all excited about it, as if their lives depended on the shenanigans that happen inside the Beltway. So, I am going to review the relevant facts, and then provide an analysis of the situation. I hope you will understand if a I take a rather lighthearted approach to this matter.
First and foremost, the President of the US has the absolute authority fire the Director of the FBI, the CIA, the NSA, or any other individual serving in such a capacity. They serve at the pleasure of the President, it's his administration so he can run it the way he wants. Beyond that, there is nothing more to discuss about the legality of the situation.
Director Comey had it coming to him for a variety of reasons. He botched the investigation into the various misdeeds Hillary Clinton was accused of having committed. As an investigator, it was not appropriate for him to discuss an ongoing investigation, nor was it acceptable to turn it into a source of public entertainment. And it was certainly inappropriate for him to describe Hillary as an incompetent idiot during the election; regardless of how much I agreed with him. Besides all of that, in his recent appearance before Congress, he once again proved that he did not know when to keep quiet. He stated in a public forum that he was investigating his boss, and that is never a wise decision.
The Democrat party loyalists, and progressives of every stripe, began calling for Comey's removal from office as soon as he spoke out against Hillary. There was an undertone of real anger at the thought that his carelessness may have cost Hillary the election, and that was an offense for which they were willing to riot and burn down entire cities. As a matter of fact, the progressives and Democrat party hacks did engage in rioting, looting, and arson in several cities across the country. However, when Trump fired Comey, all the progressives and Democrats that had been calling for his head, suddenly accused Trump of doing something wrong. With all the back and forth and indecisiveness, I'm surprised the Democrats in Congress have not given themselves whiplash.
Comey may be a nice guy, with intelligence and charisma and every other sort of good characteristic and qualification; but he did not know when to shut his big mouth. On the other hand, Trump has not exactly covered himself in glory, and he certainly loves to make big, broad statements.
On a personal note, I don't really care one way or another as to the outcome of this fiasco. Life will go, I will go to work tomorrow, the bills will come in the mail, and it will continue to rain.

USEFUL IDIOT? PERHAPS A USELESS IDIOT
The election of Emmanuel Macron is a bit troubling, to say the least. He is the stereotypical highly cultured and educated Socialist/Progressive/Marxist that believes ALL social problems are caused by economic disenfranchisement.
The issue of radical Islam will not be resolved by giving everyone a job or by providing everyone with a decadent and comfortable lifestyle. It is a perverted belief system that must be combated through force of arms and by the destruction of those social structures which have allowed it to flourish. Indeed, there is a substantial body of evidence available that proves that several governments, that happen to be "allied" with the US, have provided direct aid to Al-Qaeda, ISIS(Daesh), and other terrorist groups.
Before any further discussion can be had as to the threat of radical Islam, the entire truth must come out. The secretive planning and support of radical groups must stop. Anyone found to have supported those groups should be prosecuted for crimes against humanity, in a public and open forum.
https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/10310/emmanuel-macron-islamism
Emmanuel Macron, a "Useful Infidel," is not a supporter of terrorism or Islamism. It is worse: he does not even see the threat.
Louizi's article gave names and dates, explaining how Macron's political movement has largely been infiltrated by Muslim Brotherhood militants.
Is Macron an open promoter of Islamism in France? It is more politically correct to say that he is a "globalist" and an "open promoter of multiculturalism". As such, he does not consider Islamism a national threat because the French nation, or, as he has said, French culture, does not really exist.

REVISITING PARAGON THEATERS
The front entrance of the theater, as seen from the parking lot |
The word "Paragon" is defined by the Merriam-Webster dictionary as "a model of excellence or perfection". Perhaps it is a "paragon" of movie theaters, it is a great theater in many ways, but it has one very obnoxious flaw. The entertainment, the bowling, the food, the drinks, the seating, the staff, the management, and the all the other details are just right; however, the one flaw defies all human understanding. From the picture above we can see the front door, but what we can't see, until we are up close, are the drains that are positioned above the front doors. WHICHEVER GENIUS DESIGNED THE BUILDING PUT THE STORM DRAINS RIGHT ABOVE THE FRONT DOOR! WHENEVER IT RAINS THE MOVIE GOERS WILL GET WET!
It's NOT my intention to be obnoxious, nor do I wish to stop visiting the theater. Like I said, it's a great theater in many different ways. But there must be a realistic solution to this problem! Perhaps they could pipe the water to the side of the building, somewhere so people don't have to take cold shower after their movie!
I took the above pictures at 10:30 at night. There was a heavy downpour, and the drains were happily giving the movie goers a very cold shower.

TYRANNY AND CULTURAL REVOLUTION IN THE USA
Armed Marxist protestors. The Communist hammer and sickle on display |
Universities: Breeding grounds for Ignorance and Intolerance
Perhaps the most saddening aspect of this mayhem are the ubiquitous video interviews in which college students, at some of the best universities in the country. are unable to answer the most basic questions in regards to politics, history, current events, or anything else. However, those same students seem quite knowledgeable when asked about celebrities, television shows, or other aspects of the entertainment industry.
Both Major Political Parties are complicit
Over the past few decades, we have
seen the most shameful behaviors on our college campuses: guest speakers being violently chased off campus grounds by masked thugs; students demanding “safespaces” in order to avoid encountering an idea that may be different than their own; extremists calling for “white genocide” and armed conflict; and educators pushing politically motivated agendas on their classrooms. All of these
factors have been driven by fanatic Leftist ideologues pushing their causes
unto impressionable young undergraduates. The direct result of this propaganda
has been the maladjustment of millions of young people being confused about
what truly matters in life, in relationships, and in the workplace. People
attend universities in order to pursue an education which will hopefully
provide them with some of the needed tools to succeed in life; they do not
attend universities just to pay ever increasing tuitions and to be misled by
professors with politically motivated agendas.

Both Major Political Parties are complicit
It would seem apparent that the blame for this mess can be thrown at the Democrat Party; however, the leadership of both the Democrat and Republican parties is at fault. The Democrat party loyalists and sympathizers are certainly well represented in academia, the media, unions, and the arts. Republican party loyalists and sympathizers are found in the military, law enforcement, private industry, and in many other places. Adherents to both parties share a belief in "global governance", and readily sign on to regional free trade agreements which transfer regulatory authority from US voters and officials to unelected bureaucrats. The recent attempt by Republicans in Congress to rescind Obamacare was quickly opposed by the United Nations, with the reasoning that such a move would violate UN laws. The hooded Marxist thugs terrorizing college campuses and the streets of US cities are also supporters of "world government", and are in frequent agreement with the ideals which seem to guide both parties at the national level.
Much has been written on how the Left works to silence dissent and limit Free Speech. On the other hand, many people have complained about the onerous security procedures imposed by the TSA (Transportation Security Administration), but nobody protested when George W. and the Republicans in Congress empowered the agency shortly after 9-11-2001. The many horror stories of the TSA abusing citizens over the past fifteen years are too many to enumerate. Initially the agency was tasked with protecting the air ways from terrorists that may wish to hijack airplanes, but the TSA has failed to catch even a single terrorist over the past fifteen years. Yet, Congress seems unconcerned and the TSA continues to abuse people on a daily basis.
No one wants to be the victim of crime, nor does any person of good character support criminal behavior. Everyone supports law and order, and a tough criminal justice system to keep society safe. Republicans are noted for being tough on crime, supporting police, and pushing for long prison sentences for criminal behavior; Democrats tend to be a bit more lenient and forgiving to the point of being seen as soft on crime. Regardless, the US has the greatest number of incarcerated individuals in the world. Offenders convicted of non-violent drug offenses make up the largest percentage of the current prison population. What is the cause of this phenomenon? Some would say poverty, others point to a decline of family values, while others present various different arguments. Perhaps it is caused by politicians that have been overly eager to garner votes and be seen as having accomplished something by creating ever more stringent laws. Regardless of the cause, the public should not fear the police, nor should the legal system be so extreme that it becomes a nuisance or a hindrance to the smooth functioning of society.

Is there a way to solve these issues?
The problems have been described, and now my dear readers will want a well defined solution to those problems. I'm afraid there are no simple answers. The problems began many decades ago and have been allowed to flourish by an indifferent and unconcerned public. Nobody cared, as long as the problems remained small and were not happening in their neighborhood. I am afraid that things will get much worse, before they get better.
